As incoming president, I am excited to be involved with the leadership of the Southwest Division. My goals are to establish good communication among states that will allow us to work together and share ideas, promote professionalism through certification, explore ways to raise levels of teaching by extending the arm of MTNA to new members, and support the states as they endeavor to more fully meet the needs of existing MTNA members.
We welcome Mary Louise Beckstrand, NCTM, as competition chair. A past Utah MTA president and high school competition coordinator, she brings great expertise to this new position. She will be assisted by Charles Asche, Mallie Riecken, NCTM, Kathryn Denos, NCTM, and Tammy Nakasato, competition ...
