The New York State MTA has enthusiastically voted to support a new statewide competition to be named the Empire State Competition. This will be a single-tiered event for high school and college students in either piano or voice.
Paul Sheftel will be the featured speaker at the Massachusetts MTA (MMTA) conference on October 26, 2002, at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
MMTA is also proud to announce the formation of a new local association, the Greater Lowell MTA. At the 2002 MTNA Conference in Cincinnati, the new local was awarded a Start-Up Grant through the MTNA FOUNDATION.
