StAR Award recipients announced. (Association News).
The Student Achievement Recognition (StAR) Award is given to outstanding graduating music students intending to become independent music teachers or collegiate music professors. Faculty and music administrators of the National Association of Schools of Music's institutional members select recipients on the basis of academic excellence, successful teaching experience and demonstrated leadership abilities.
StAR Award recipients receive a complimentary one-year MTNA membership, which includes the benefits of a paid member--educational and networking opportunities, professional growth and a subscription to American Music Teacher. Please join us in welcoming the StAR Award recipients* to MTNA. The recipients are listed alphabetically according to state and school.
