The International Clarinet Competition will take place March 10-11, 2003, in Ville d'Avray, Paris, and is open to clarinetists of any nationality and age. The first-place winner will receive 1,500 [euro], with second- and third-place winners receiving 800 [euro] and 500 [euro], respectively.

The first-round repertoire must include a concerto composed by either Weber, Mozart or Spohr (first movement), a Debussy Rhapsodie (Edition Durand) and Jean-Louis Petit's Soufflee III (Edition). For the final round, contestants may choose a piece composed ...
