Welcome to another year of membership in MTNA. This issue of the American Music Teacher (AMT) magazine is the first one of the 127th year of our association. Some of you are new members to MTNA; most of you are continuing your membership. Regardless of whether this is your first AMT or your hundredth, we wish you a successful year of music teaching.
Over the course of our 127 years, MTNA has become a strong network of 24,000 music teaching professionals in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. Our members have willingly come together for over a century and a quarter to accomplish things in the profession that one person alone just cannot do. In fact, the music teaching landscape has been forever impacted by MTNA and its membership.
