John W. Bell
John W. Bell, 82, Sarasota, died Aug. 8, 2002.
He was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Palmerston, Canada, and came to Sarasota 48 years ago from Niagara Falls, N.Y. He retired as superintendent of the James A. Knowles Construction Co. in St. Petersburg and had served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Sarasota.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia A.; daughters Diane L. Kelly of Atlanta and Becky A. Reese of Sarasota; a son, Michael J. of Sarasota; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.

Barbara Jean Bautz
Barbara Jean Bautz, 70, Sarasota, died July 26, 2002, at Doctors Hospital in Sarasota.
She was born Oct. 18, 1931, in Tucson, Ariz., and came to Sarasota from Westbury, N.Y., in 1979. She retired from teaching at the Dryden Street Elementary School in Westbury. She was a member of Church of the Incarnation and the Meadows Country Club, both in Sarasota, and was an alumna of the University of Wisconsin.
Survivors include a sister, Nancy of Sarasota; and a brother, William of Bradenton.
A memorial Mass will be at noon Saturday at St. Martha's Catholic Church. At Peace Cremation Services, Sarasota, is in charge.

Linda Fiore
Linda Fiore, 65, Sarasota, died Aug. 2, 2002, at home.
She was born Aug. 8, 1936, in Jamaica, N.Y., and came to Sarasota in 1972 from New York City.
She was a nurse and a certified gerontologist, a professional harpist and a schoolteacher. She retired from nursing and took up home teaching of children ages kindergarten through grade three. She was president of the Sarasota Chapter of the American Harp Society, a co-founder of the Venice Area Art League Library and was on the board of directors of the Sarasota Pops Orchestra.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Michael; daughters Janet Falzone of Tampa and Marie Falzone of Flushing, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Venice Public Library. Burial was in Florida National Cemetery. Farley Funeral Home is in charge.

Janet M. Gailey
Janet M. Gailey, 84, North Port, died July 31, 2002, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Laporte, Pa.
She was born in Round Lake, N.Y., and was a resident of Upper Saddle River, N.J., before retiring to Sarasota in 1983. She and her husband were summer residents of Laporte in recent years. She graduated from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy, N.Y., and was a nurse at Alexander's Department Store in Paramus, N.J., for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William D.; a son, John L. Wallace Jr. of Barrington, Ill.; a daughter, Barbara Hautala of New Albany, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Private services were Aug. 3. Entombment will be in Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice. P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, Pa., is in…
