When computer game players step up to the plate this year, they will encounter a digital baseball diamond that's been given a radical face-lift. Gone are the generic cookie-cutter players that dominated past baseball titles such as Electronic Arts' (EA) early versions of Triple Play, as lifelike digital replicas of the various teams take to the virtual fields.
