ATI Technologies (Markham, Ontario) has announced a new technology on which its next generation of workstation graphics accelerators will be based. The chip, unnamed at press time, will support both Direct X 9 and OpenGL and will power the company's forthcoming FireGL 9900 and FireGL 9800 cards.
