S&P Changes Servicer Test With New Module.(Standard & Poor's)(Brief Article)
Rating agency Standard & Poor's said it is enhancing its servicer evaluation program with the introduction of SEAM, or Servicer Evaluation Assessment Module.
SEAM is an internal database that has been developed to perform a quantitative evaluation of each servicer's performance within its industry peer group in a number of functions. Each individual servicer will receive a numerical score based upon a significant number of attributes. The score will then be used as the basis for developing a full ranking.
S&P said SEAM will enable servicer evaluation analysts to incorporate peer group comparisons and statistical benchmarking within S&P's Select Servicer reports.
