CHINA'S STEEL PRICES RALLY FOLLOWING ONE-YEAR DECLINE.
CHANGSHA, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Market prices of steel products in China have rallied from one-year decline after touching bottom at the beginning of this year. By the end of June, the composite price index had risen from 74.79 points at the beginning of the year to 79.21 points, and was showing a trend of going stable.
According to representatives attending a meeting of the Financial and Pricing Work Committee of the China Iron and Steel Association, market prices of steel products in China only rebounded with the recovery of the international steel market that started from late January. By the end of June, price of medium plates, CR sheets and HR rolls rose by 283 yuan (US$34.19), 324 yuan and 329 yuan per ton respectively as compared with those at the beginning of the year, ...
