- Reports M1, Singapore's second-biggest cellular operator, yesterday said its first-half pre-tax profit surged 41 per cent to $72 million on higher sales.
- ST Assembly Test Services (Stats) has narrowed its losses in the second quarter, helped by stronger demand from a varied range of customers.
- Sembcorp Industries' deputy chairman and chief executive officer Wong Kok Siew, 55, is the new chairman of International Enterprise (IE) Singapore.
- Cycle & Carriage (C&C) yesterday reported a 376 per cent surge in its interim net profits while its property arm MCL Land saw a 45 per cent jump in its first-half net profit.
- Sembcorp Marine yesterday announced a 35 per cent increase in net profit to $53 million for the six months ended June 30 on the back of a 32 per cent rise in revenue to $492 million.
