SEOUL, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Samsung Heavy Industries said Thursday it recently secured an order for eight container ships each with 5,500 TEU capacity from the biggest shipping firm in France, CMA.CGM.
The order is worth US$420 million, the shipyard said.
The company said it would be able to build the ships economically by cutting costs and raising productivity as it had already built 25 of these ships.
