KARACHI, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Pakistan's total exports to Saudi Arabia reached US$293 million during July-May 2001-2002, showing a growth of 21 per cent over the US$52 million in the same period in the prior year.
According to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), this increase is 52 per cent higher over 1999-2000 and 73 per cent over 1998-1999.
The annual export target for Saudi Arabia for July-June 2001-2002 was fixed by the EPB at US$278 million while the annual export target assigned by the Foreign Office was US$231 million.
The 12 month targets fixed by both departments have been surpassed in the 11 months, touching a level of US$293 million.
