PUNE: Friday afternoon's incident at Lohegaon airport where three unauthorised people were found approaching a Jet Airways flight waiting on the tarmac for take-off, has once again exposed the lethargic attitude of the state and central governments in revamping security measures at the airport.
The incident also reflects the slack security apparatus despite the grave implications of the September 11 in the United States and the hijacking of Indian Airlines IC-814 flight in Kathmandu in December 1999.
