PUNE: With only few hours left for the grand football finale between Brazil and Germany, the city is all set for the big kick.
For fans, both who are swaying to the samba tune and who are hoping for another Klose Ball(ack), the feeling is of nervousness.
"Who would take the Cup that cheers home" is the question on everyone's mind. But there is a sense of joy too in anticipation of the "fight of the titans".
While the kick-off time is being anxiously awaited from the small tea corner at Bibvewadi to the majestic hall at Le Meridien, a filling station at Wakdewadi has found a unique way to catch on the football fever.
Clad in traditional Brazilian outfit (yellow jerseys and blue shorts), not to mention the studs, the eight-member team at Alfa service station is trying hard to prove that no matter how much of work, football comes first.
As Arshad Akkalkotkar, the owner of the station who is himself an avid fan of the South Americans, put it, "The idea is to make my employees feel important on the 'B-day'."
Shaikh Ali, cashier, said customers have been quizzing them about their new looks. "It's a great feeling to be sporting the same outfit as that of Rivaldo and Ronaldo," he said.
