: Officers of the Bangladesh Rifles have been offered training facilities at Border Security Force training institutes, additional DIG BSF South Bengal range Ramesh Singh said in Kolkata on Sunday.
Besides fostering a sense of camaraderie between BSF and BDR personnel, such a training was also thought to be a part of a good strategy. BDR officials were going to Pakistan for training with Pakistani Rangers, where they were also being indoctrinated in anti-India feelings.
A BDR team was likely to come soon and inspect the training facilities of the BSF to decide upon what kind of training they would require. BSF academies were there at Tekanpur in Madhya Pradesh, at Hazaribagh and at Indore.
Though officials of the Bangladesh army had been given training in some of the army training institutes in the country, this was the first time that the BDR too would have training facilities in India.
