: Chief Minister S.M. Krishna on Sunday took stock of infrastructure projects which have not taken off in the city and gave the go ahead for the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to take up three flyovers intersecting either the inner or outer ring roads.
Krishna chaired a meeting of key stakeholders in the city which included BDA, BCC, KRDCL and BATF. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary A. Ravindra, Mayor K. Chandrashekar, BCC Commissioner M.R. Sreenivasa Murthy, BDA Commissioner Jayakar Jerome and other senior officials.
This is Krishna's first meeting with the city's civic officials after he retained Bangalore development portfolio during last week's reshuffle. The ministry had been given to T. John for a brief period, though Krishna relieved him of BDA soon after John assumed charge.
Sources said Krishna had specifically retained the portfolio as he wanted to personally oversee developmental works in the city and speed up pending work, and hence Sunday's meeting.
