HEALY PASS 
 
   So we did drive over the Healy Pass 
   as Helen Carvill, back in Sydney, said we should-- 
   over the Caha Mountains pock-marked 
   with corries and grey, skull-shaped 
   glacial boulders, green slopes of yellow gorse 
   where black-faced sheep grazed, watched 
   indifferently, ignorant of the fear 
   beating in our hearts as the small car moved forward, 
   meeting the upland Atlantic ...
