The results will not be as disastrous as you think. Agreed, Pinocchio was known for lying and physics is no monkey business.
But in the hands of enlightened educators, puppets have broken away from old 'strings' and found a new role as messengers of science and technology for the masses.
It is exactly this role that the fourday national convention on the application of puppetry and folk arts to science and technology, which began here on Wednesday, will seek to explore.
