: Three ministers belonging to the Peasants and Workers Party (PWP) resigned from the Democratic Front government on Thursday to protest against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) member Sunil Tatkare being reinducted into the ministry.
Still, this is unlikely to threaten the stability of the seven-party coalition, which retains the support of 150 MLAs in the 288-member house.
Significantly, the PWP has not withdrawn support to the government. Chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has not forwarded their letters to governor P.C. Alexander.
