: In a first-ever admission by a Hindutva leader, former Shiv Sena MP Moreshwar Save told the Liberhan Ayodhya Commission of Inquiry on Thursday that smaller temples in Ayodhya were demolished in April 1992 to make space for the construction of a larger Ram temple.
Save gave an account of his trip to Ayodhya in April 1992 to study the records. ''All evidence since 1934 was placed before us and on this basis we reached the conclusion that there was no resistance to the Ram temple from local people.
The whole thing is an attempt to make a mountain out of molehill,'' he said.
