: Even as Prime Minister Vajpayee held a high-level meeting on Thursday morning to review the situation along the Indo-Pak border, which is witnessing fierce artillery duels between the two armies, militants intensified their attacks on security installations in Jammu and Kashmir.
Vajpayee later also met President K R Narayanan for 45 minutes and briefed him on the current Indo-Pak standoff and the diplomatic drive that the government had launched to apprise the world community, particularly the immediate neighbours like China, Nepal and Bangladesh, of the situation.
