Masaka, Uganda (PANA) - A man in the southern Ugandan district of Masaka has sold his house for 571 US dollars to buy a television set and watch the ongoing World Cup finals in South Korea and Japan.
Confirming reports from family members and friends, Rajab Arinaitwe, who hails from Kimanya village in Masaka district 150 km south of the Ugandan capital Kampala, told PANA "I cannot miss the World Cup simply because of a mere house."
Arinaitwe said from the proceeds of the sale he bought a second hand set for 227 dollars, adding that he would use the balance to a rent a cheap flat for about six more months.
"After that I would figure out what to do next," he said with a shrug of the shoulders.
