: The Bangalore University has decided to reward students who participate in adult literacy programmes.

Each student who takes the responsibility of converting an illiterate into a literate will be rewarded with five marks __ each student can select a minimum of two and maximum of five illiterates for the programme.

The beneficiaries can be identified by students at the beginning of the course and recorded in the college, Vice-Chancellor M.S. Thimmappa said on Wednesday. He was participating in an extraordinary meeting of the Academic Council.
