Mumbai: It is not clear how the Maharashtra government will raise the Rs 1600 crores required for the Worli-Nariman Point part of the western freeway sealink.

The tender document prepared by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) mentions that the project may not be viable with toll collection and on a stand alone basis.

One of the conditions laid down in the tender for a detailed techno-economic feasibility study is that the consultant should examine revenue generation methods with a view to improving the viability of the project.
