Americans don't resent the rich nor do they particularly admire them. They believe the country benefits from having a class of rich people. Fifty percent say we have about the right number of them, 25 percent, too many, and 20 percent, too few. A little over 10 percent consider themselves upper income or rich. A third think it's possible they could become rich some day.
