President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak yesterday expressed hope that the Arab peace initiative, put forward by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, would bring the derailed peace process in the Middle East back on track.
In a meeting held at Al Bahr Palace, the two leaders expressed their hope that the initiative would provide a basis for resuscitating the peace process and negotiating a comprehensive and just peace that must end the Israeli occupation and ultimately lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
