BP has sold its UK Truckstops to Nightowl Limited for [pound]13.5 million. The business comprises six sites specialising in providing forecourt services and overnight accommodation to HGV drivers at Alconbury, Wolverhampton, Rugby, Carlisle, Penrith and Birtley.

Nightowl Ltd has been created by Peter Williams and Ken Donald, respectively former general manager and former operations manager of BP Truckstops. All BP Truckstops staff - some 300 employees - will transfer to the new company under existing terms and conditions.
