BEIJING, July 1 Asia Pulse - China's huge market capacity and rapid economic development have attracted foreign chemical giants to the country.

A recent survey shows that multinational corporations have not only entered the downstream areas of oil refining and production of terminal products, including fine chemicals, painting, daily chemical products, medicine and farm chemicals but also set foot in petrochemical production bases.

BP has become the largest acetic acid producer in China, occupying 30 per cent of the market.
