The Treasury Department and all its bureaus are fully adopting the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system of the Department of Defense for vendor registration (replacing the SF-129) and Electronic Funds Transfer payments (replacing the SF-3881) effective May 1, 2002. Most of the federal government is expected to adopt the CCR by October 1 2002, in response to an Office of Management and Budget mandate. The Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is the primary vendor database for the Department of Defense (DoD) and an increasing number of Federal Agencies.
