PHONE CALL 
 
   "Still fossiking in old anthologies, 
   sifting through abandoned realms of gold", 
   you ring to say hello and tell me how 
   you've found another group of the erased, 
   "writers who stood alone, who speak for all." 
 
   "To recover for our time their qualities, 
   to see at last a kind of justice done 
   for other ways of looking at the world, 
   precise observation, unforced tone." 
 
   Your voice is light with sure discoveries, 
   "the fragile can survive, the modest live".
