This release deals with the piano sound very cleanly, with proper sizing and focus, the integration between Anschell and his supporting players well handled, and with a nice small-club, close-up sound to the mix. The drums are a bit wider sounding than what a live performance would exhibit, but with my Yamaha DSP-A1 processor set to its Classical/ Opera mode (with the requisite backing off of the center level by -3 dB), ...
