In 1999 the small Motel Records label released a compilation of film music composed by the acclaimed Indian production team of Anandji and Kalyaji Shah during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Since the snippets of music had no titles of their own, the label imposed such titles as "The Good, the Bad and the Chutney" and "Fists of Curry," and fans of lounge music, period kitsch, and Indian pop music were thrilled. This follow-up draws on the same general cache of material, but this time uses DJs, turntablists, and adventurous producers to slice and dice the source material into a funkier version of the same basic idea.
