BRADENTON -- Manatee Memorial Hospital has tapped a Texas hospital executive to run its new medical center in fast-growing Lakewood Ranch.
Jean "John" Adams, a 50-year-old career hospital administrator, will first be responsible for supervising construction of the 120-bed center and hiring management and administrative staff for the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
He will be based temporarily at the hospital's Bradenton campus until medical offices being built on the 30-acre site in Lakewood Ranch are completed in December.
