Playing in Albuquerque's thin air, past Dukes teams have been able to dominate the Pacific Coast League in many offensive categories.

Last season, though, the Duke bats were cold. But the team's new hitting coach says that won't happen again.

"We have a lot of hitters," said Ron Jackson. "I think the hardest thing is going to be getting all of these guys in the lineup enough."

The Dukes will unveil their 2000 team to Albuquerque at 7 p.m. Friday, when the home schedule opens against Oklahoma. They lost three of four to Oklahoma this weekend and move...
