TITUSVILLE, N.J., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Janssen, L.P., a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, announced that it has selected INVEGA(TM) as the brand name for paliperidone extended release tablets, the company's investigational oral atypical antipsychotic. The company is seeking approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market INVEGA(TM) for the treatment of schizophrenia.
The FDA recently informed the company that it has assigned a class 1 (i.e., two month) review for INVEGA(TM). The new user fee goal date for an FDA action on the new drug application (NDA) is now December 20, 2006.
