While not losing focus on their main funding aim of healthy spending levels for the substance abuse block grant, national advocacy organizations this year also have their eye on possible funding of a targeted program that could help communities combat methamphetamine addiction and the toll it takes on families.

A large group of organizations representing diverse sectors of the addiction community is making a push for funding of provisions in the USA Patriot Act that would expand methamphetamine treatment services to pregnant and parenting women in the justice system.
