Annual Meeting Convention Center Ballroom * Cincinnati, Ohio March 19, 2002 MINUTES CALL TO ORDER MTNA President Wayne Gibson called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. on March 19, 2002. RECOGNITIONS President Gibson recognized the members of the MTNA Board of Directors, Past Presidents (L. Rexford Whiddon and Margaret Lorince), National Chairs, and Staff. REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT President Gibson delivered a "State of the Association" report, detailing significant people, programs, and partnerships of the association during 2001. He announced and recognized the new division presidents-elect, the first group to be elected under the new MTNA Bylaws. BUSINESS Bylaws Amendment The MTNA Board of Directors recommends the following amendment to the MTNA Bylaws: Current Bylaw Article X. ADVISORY COUNCIL Section 1. STATE PRESIDENTS ADVISORY COUNCIL. The State Presidents Advisory Council shall be composed of the current President of each state-affiliated Association.
