Local Association of the Year is Abilene MTA. (Association News).(Music Teachers Association)(Brief Article)
The Abilene Music Teachers Association (AMTA) is the recipient of the 2002 Music Teachers National Association Local Association of the Year Award. The award was presented at the recent MTNA National Conference.
"Volunteerism is flourishing in Abilene. It is a pleasure to recognize the Abilene Music Teachers Association, an organization that is thriving with supportive, active members," says MTNA President Dr. R. Wayne Gibson, NCTM.
