A 26-year-old Pretoria man apparently committed suicide on Sunday afternoon shortly after he tried to shoot his wife at her workplace, police said. Inspector Percy Morokane said on Monday that Johannes Combrink visited his wife around 4pm on Sunday at the Eugene Marais hospital in Gezina, where she works. The couple apparently had marital problems and Combrink went to his wife in an attempt to resolve their differences, Morokane said.
