Lusaka, Zambia (PANA) - A shadowy and as yet unidentified group has sent anonymous threats to three western embassies in Lusaka over undisclosed grievances, but the government has warned of a robust response to the threats.
Threats of the impending attacks were sent to the US Embassy, the High Commission of Britain and the royal embassy of Sweden -- all of which are in Lusaka's Longacres area, at times known as "the diplomatic triangle".
An anonymous telephone call was Friday sent to Swedish ambassador, Christan Rehlen, warning the envoy that apart from attacking his mission, similar attacks will be made on the US and UK missions.
The caller gave no name nor identified organisations to which they belonged or grievances being used for the threats.
