Luwero, Uganda (PANA) - Police in Uganda on Monday said they are pursuing some 350 secondary school students, accused of burning down their campus in Uganda's Luwero district.
The 350 students of St Henry senior Secondary School in Luwero district, some 125km north of Kampala, went amok while protesting the dismissal of their beloved founder headmaster, Hamis Kayondo, by the school's management last week.
Luwero District Police Commander, Godfrey Taire said the 350 students were on the run but 168 others returned after the fire was died down.
"The loss here can't be established in monetary value yet, but certainly it will be in the range of tens of thousands of dollars."
