Monrovia, Liberia (PANA) - A magistrates court in Monrovia Monday released on bail five human rights activists detained by the Liberian police without change since last week.
Lawyers for the activists had filed a writ of habeas corpus to force the police to produce the five and show reasons for their arrest and detention.
When the police produced the four men and a woman in court, their lawyers filed a cash appearance bond to obtain their release.
