Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Libyan leader Col. Moammar Kadhafi Monday headed a huge crowd of people protesting against "the war of extermination" being waged by the Israeli army against Palestinian people and the confinement of Palestine President Yasser Arafat in his offices in the West Bank town of Ramallah.
Kadhafi led hundreds of thousands of Libyans who marched through the streets of Tripoli up to the Martyrs Square where he addressed the demonstrators.
In his speech, the Libyan leader urged the Arab countries to open up their frontiers to enable volunteers to proceed to the Palestinian territories and defend Palestinian children, women and elders in the face of the Israeli war machine.
Col. Kadhafi warned the Israelis to realise that the US 6th Fleet, the missiles, the F16 and other combat aircraft will not protect them for ever.
He affirmed that the USA and its weapons will not guarantee security for Israeli people in the Middle East for ever. The Libyan leader wondered what will become of the Israelis in 40 years to come, when they will be surrounded by one billion Arabs.
