SEOUL, June 3 Asia Pulse - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi on Friday said debate on key bills in the current Diet session should be "flexible."
Koizumi's comment, made while flying to South Korea to attend the opening ceremony of the World Cup soccer tournament, was in reference to bills designed to protect personal information and boost preparedness for military attacks.
The premier hinted that he feels the Diet session will be extended, saying, "It is too early to say, but I think the schedule is too tight to pass all the bills before the closing day of June 19."
