TAIPEI, June 3 Asia Pulse - The value of Taiwan's annual flower production is expected to reach NT$20 billion (US$584.79 million) in the next five years, Council of Agriculture Affairs Chairman, Fan Cheng-chung, said Sunday.
Fan made the remarks at a floral and medicinal plant exhibition in Taipei.
Fan said that the production value of the horticultural industry in Taiwan was only around NT$3 billion seven years ago, but has since grown rapidly to more than NT$10 billion this year.
