CHARLOTTE COUNTY -- A top Charlotte County administrator confirmed Thursday he has accepted a job with Sarasota County Environmental Services.

Assistant County Administrator Tom Keith, 46, has agreed to become general manager of business center operations.

He will start June 17 and earn $85,000 a year -- the same salary he received in Charlotte. His last day in Charlotte will be June 14.

As the second-in-command of the 400-employee business center, Keith will oversee landfill operations, solid waste collection and recycling and reuse programs.
