The April 20th rally in Washington, D.C., that brought together a large assortment of Communists and veterans of the radical Left, demonstrated the alarming extent to which these forces have forged ties with Muslim communities in the United States. Rather than addressing legitimate Palestinian grievances, the rally leaders allied themselves with Yasser Arafat, the PLO, and other terrorist groups that have repeatedly proven they are not interested in peace.
Among the disturbing reports portending the likelihood of more suicide bombings in this country was a story that appeared in the April 21st Philadelphia Inquirer concerning a large group of Muslims bused from Philadelphia to the D.C. demonstrations. "In the crowd," reported the Inquirer, "two Palestinian American women from North Philadelphia said they would support their children if they decided to become suicide bombers, whom they referred to as 'martyrs,'" "A martyr is someone who devotes their life to the Palestinian cause, whether it's to go to the occupied territories and throw rocks at the Israeli soldiers or become a suicide bomber," Abeer Ali, 36, told the paper. "'We have to sacrifice anything for Palestine,' she said as her only child, Emad, 14, stood by her side," the Inquirer reported.
