Abstract
This paper describes how the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) developed an internally consistent assessment system in which each piece contributes to the improvement of the larger university educational system. This system is consistent with the vision of scholarship that was presented by Boyer. The structure of CSM's assessment system is dependent upon the collaboration of a broad array of programs and faculty.
