AlphaCell signs $10m deal to make cellular phones for Britain's Carphone.

AlphaCell has signed an estimated $10 million purchasing and distribution agreement with Carphone Warehouse Group (LSE:CPW) of the UK for cellular telephones under the Carphone brand. AlphaCell was founded as a joint venture of Emblaze Systems (LSE:BLZ), Poalim Investments and Leader Holdings and Investments of the Shrem-Fudim-Kelner group.

Carphone has distribution centers and 1,050 stores in 12 countries. AlphaCell designs handsets devices for cellular telephones. The company basically does design outsourcing for cellular telephones. More and more cellular manufacturers prefer to outsource designing, which requires a range of …
